2020, oof. There was a point back in April when I doubted any weddings would take place this year. I thought my business might crumble, and none of these moments would have been permitted or captured. April was rough. But it got better. And people still got married. The weddings were often drastically different than their original plan; different dates, different venues, and different guest lists. Grandparents tuned in virtually, dance floors were non-existent, and masks were commonplace. But the love was there. And it all just felt so much more significant this year. Like despite these unimaginable circumstances, couples still got married and celebrated in whatever pared back and stripped down way they could. And it was truly an honour to witness each and every one of these moments unfold this year.
As always, I suggest watching this in full screen, with the volume up. Enjoy 🙂
Ps. a special shout out to each and every one of the couples that I worked with this year. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of their guests and their vendors. I felt safe and comfortable at every wedding this year and I truly appreciated the efforts everyone went to to ensure the guidelines were met. Hand sanitizer was a-plenty, social distancing was practiced, and masks were required indoors (and sometimes even custom masks were provided for guests – so fun). I say it all the time, but I truly work with the loveliest, kindest, and most caring couples. Thank you, thank you, thank you. XO
