It took some rescheduling (more than once) but Mother Nature finally cooperated and Abby & Henry had the downtown Ottawa engagement session they wanted!
First extreme cold. And then a few winter storms. I think we were all relieved when we snuck in some winter photos on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Abby & Henry wanted some photos done downtown, so we decided to meet in the Byward Market. From there, we toured around for some fresh air, and snapped a few cute photos while we were at it. A perfect light snow was falling. Just enough to stick to their sweaters and in their hair. I’m so glad we waited out the crazy winter weather. Worth it!
We started in the Courtyard and then walked our way down towards the National Art Gallery. We found a nice view overlooking the Ottawa River with the Alexander Bridge in the background. After walking around a bit more we ended at Planet Coffee for a hot drink to warm up a bit.
I know I sound like a broken record when I say this, but engagement sessions are so much fun. Not only do I think it’s important that we spend some time together before the wedding, it’s fun to just wander around, chat, laugh (we laugh a lot), and just get comfortable working together with absolutely no pressure. Whether it’s out in the country or a downtown Ottawa engagement session, I love them all!
