Afternoon Wedding at Adelina Barn

Kelsy & Tyler planned a truly unique afternoon wedding at Adelina Barn, and I had the privilege of documenting it for them! From the get-go, they knew they didn’t want to be out partying until 1am, so they planned an early afternoon wedding and luncheon. You had me at hello, Kelsy & Tyler hahah!!

They rented a big beautiful cottage for the wedding party to stay at for the weekend, so everyone got ready in the same house together (so fun)! And then Tyler and Kelsy shared a beautifully emotional first look out on the dock in the backyard. (Can we also take a moment to acknowledge the dress and the shoes and the veil on Kelsy, stunning!) We took some time to take photos in the morning light on the gorgeous property, before the wedding party got ready to head to the venue.

Adelina Barn is a gorgeous venue, so private and the grounds are just stunning! Guests grabbed a drink, mingled and played some lawn games before settling in for the ceremony. Their friend and groomsman Adam officiated and there were many happy tears throughout the ceremony. One of my favourite memories from the day was when the ceremony ended and Kelsy & Tyler were about to walk down the aisle together – the guests had been so wrapped up in the ceremony that they forgot to get the dried florals from their chairs to toss. So Kelsy & Tyler laughed and paused at the top of the aisle while the guests scrambled to get the florals ready. It was a good laugh after an emotional ceremony and such a fun way to kick off the reception portion of the day!

After the ceremony the wedding party shared champagne and hugs, while guests mingled and played more lawn games. The afternoon was just so laid back, and everything flowed effortlessly. There was a taco lunch (delicious), speeches scattered throughout, and otherwise it was time for everyone just to enjoy each other’s company and spend time outside together. Truly such a feel-good, heart bursting kind of day. The weather was beautiful and it just felt so easy. And fun. And full of love.

When all was said and done, they were heading out by 5pm. Exactly what they wanted. An afternoon wedding and it was perfect.
