This at-home maternity session in Ottawa is everything! Sean and Amanda are such a laid-back and down-to-earth couple, it just made sense to lounge around the house and take photos. (It also helps that it was winter time and darn cold outside, so the decision to stay in was made easy.)
At-home lifestyle sessions are quickly becoming my new favourite thing. I’m a homebody through and through, so for me, there is nothing better than being at home. Sean and Amanda have made their house into a home and it is so full of love and cozy. They made it so easy for all of us to relax, have some laughs, hang out, and take photos that truly represent them and their life.
The baby’s nursery was all set up, so we snapped a few photos in the baby’s room before heading down to relax in the living room. These are probably my favourite photos from the session. Whenever I see the photos on the couch I always start singing Lionel Richie’s “easy like Sunday morning”. It’s exactly what I think when I see these photos. They’re just so relaxed, at-home, comfortable, in-love. To me, these are the moments I want to remember.
A few short weeks after this session, Sean and Amanda welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world. She is an absolute dream and she is surrounded by love. These two are amazing first-time parents. I am so darn proud of them and can’t wait to watch where this journey takes them.
