A Year in Review

Hard to believe it’s the end of 2017 already. I swear I blinked and it was all over. The end of the year means it’s time for a ‘Best of 2017’ post featuring some of my favourite moments of the year.

I had trouble sleeping the other night so I got out of bed and started going through my work from the year. It made me so grateful for the wonderful couples, families, and individuals that trust me to capture moments in their lives that they can look back on for years and years to come. I love it. It brings me so much energy, and it is such a privilege to be able to provide tangible memories for others. Seriously, the best thing!

It’s no secret that my favourite moments to capture are the in-between moments; the little gestures, the glances, and the laughs. These are the photos that make me feel something. They are so genuine, and real. These are the moments that make my heart explode. So, when going through all of my work this year, it was no surprise to me that my favourite images are mostly the quiet in-between moments. And I’m okay with that. It’s what I strive to capture, and my goal before every shoot; to photograph the connection and the feel.

So here is a collection of some of my favourite moments this year – in no particular order. I hope they make you feel something, too.

Looking forward to 2018 and all of the amazing couples and families that I have the pleasure of working with.
