This brand photography session in Ottawa this summer was so much fun to shoot!
Carly is a literary agent at P.S Literary and wanted some updated content for her socials. Now more than ever it’s crucial for businesses to have an online presence. So we got together for some solo portraits. And I have to give it to her, having solo portraits done is a little scary! (I do this for a living and I still get super intimated and nervous when I’m having my own photos taken.) But Carly rocked it! We met at a green space in Kanata for golden hour. We laughed about how awkward she felt, and then we wandered around in the beautiful light and took some great photos.
The space had tons of variety. There was a pond, a forested area, plenty of pathways, and honestly some amazing light. So by the time the light was nearly gone we had taken so many great shots for Carly.
My advice for anyone having solo lifestyle portraits done? Just embrace the awkward. Laugh (laughing is key), don’t worry about any passersby, take a few deep breaths, and go with it. I promise you don’t look as weird as you feel!
