John & Kristina had such a beautiful, heartfelt, and fun-loving wedding at Calabogie Peaks Resort last September. It was, simply put, one of those feel-good wedding days that makes your heart feel like it’s going to burst!
John started the day at his family cottage getting ready with his dad and groomsmen and nephews. They laughed, and ironed their clothes, and helped each other with suspenders, and shared a drink on the front porch together before making their way to the ceremony.
Kristina started her day at Calabogie Peaks Resort having her hair and makeup done, having snacks and sipping mimosas. When it was time to get ready, her maid of honour helped her into her dress, and her dad helped her with her flower crown (that moment made me melt).
Friends and family gathered on the island at Calabogie Peaks for the wedding ceremony, and what a stunning space that is for a wedding. It felt intimate and private and cozy and ooh, just so lovely. They had a family friend lead Kristina and her dad in to the ceremony with bag pipes and the ceremony that followed was beautiful and emotional and comedic and just all of the best things!
Afterwards, guests tossed dried florals as John & Kristina made their way down the aisle. Some of my favourite photos from the day were from this moment. Their smiles and their excited expressions and the florals flying and eee, all the feels!!
The rest of the day was a breath of fresh air! The storm clouds rolled in (but the rain held off) and everyone mingled and hugged and laughed and danced and raised a glass to the newlyweds and the sunset was amazing and it was all just *perfect*.
These two truly soaked in the moment and I was so happy to be there to document it.
