When Caitlin & Justin suggested doing their engagement photos at a Christmas tree farm in the Ottawa area I was so excited! I had never done photos at a tree farm before, but I knew it was going to be beautiful. Caitlin suggested Cedar Hill Tree Farm out in Pakenham, and we met there on a darn cold day just before Christmas!
I was surprised when I arrived to see that they were sold out of trees. I had a moment of panic thinking we wouldn’t have any trees to walk among ahah. Nothing like a year living through a global pandemic to encourage people to take a trip out to a tree farm, cut their own tree, and make their home feel extra cozy for the holiday season. There were no trees left for cutting. But there were plenty of trees growing on the farm for next years’ families. So we had lots of beautiful rows of trees to wander through.
Caitlin & Justin braved the (very) cold winds and rocked their winter engagement session. We wandered and laughed. They snuggled up to stay warm. And we ended on a really cute covered bridge on the farm.
This session was such a fun way to end 2020! It was a crazy year, but there was so much to be grateful for. Looking forward to this wedding in 2022!
I loved this sweet Ottawa engagement session at Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm!
