From my very first meeting with Kyley & Brandon, I knew that their downtown Ottawa wedding was going to be incredible. They planned a day that was a true reflection of who they are as a couple and I cannot preach enough about how special that is. These are the kinds of weddings that feed my soul. Happy and in love people enjoying their perfect day. Truly soaking in all of the love and happiness and support surrounding them. Their downtown Ottawa wedding was truly unique.
A morning ceremony at All Saints Chapel. Guests cozied up in the quaint chapel and Kyley and her father both shed a tear as they walked down the aisle together. Handwritten vows, a ring warming ceremony, and some laughter. It was beautiful.
After the ceremony, guests mingled outside in the sunshine together, before heading to El Camino on Elgin for lunch. That’s right, Kyley & Brandon had El Camino all to themselves and guests got to eat tacos for lunch. Hello perfection. And not only was the food incredible, but The Gathering Event Company outdid themselves decorating the restaurant. The colours and the tones and the textures. It was all so beautiful and suited them perfectly.
Speeches, first dances, toasts, tacos and mingling. What a dream to photograph, honestly. After finishing up at El Camino, it was time to wander around with Kyley & Brandon for their photos. It was relaxed, and casual and fun. We hit up a patio (a nod to their engagement session last summer), walked through the construction sites, and narrowly missed a mega storm that was rolling in.
As the skies opened up, they were off to meet up with their guests again at Lieutenants Pump for some more drinks and dancing to end the day.
Like WHAT. A. DAY. Come on!! This was the best. They built in time to enjoy themselves, hang out with their families, spend time with their guests, and truly soak it all in. They like pubs and patios and the downtown scene and that was exactly what their wedding was. A breath of fresh air
