Mike & Andie got one of the last warm fall days for their Merrickville engagement session. I felt a little bit guilty as I walked around in my birkenstocks and wool socks, while Andie wore a dainty pair of flats. But it was worth it I’d say!
We spent the evening wandering around the town of Merrickville. Starting with the old mill ruins, walking along the Rideau River and discovering old abandoned buildings. As the sun set, we went out onto one of the docks to take some photos. Next thing we know, we were invited onto one of the boats to take photos if we’d like. This wasn’t any little boat. This was basically a yacht. So we made our way to the upper level and took in the pink sunset. It was simply beautiful. None of us could believe that these people let us onto their boat. It was so kind of them, and it made our night!
After thanking the couple for letting us onto their boat, we went on our way. We ended the evening with popping a bottle of champagne, and dancing in the streets.
Top notch session with these two. Their Merrickville engagement photos are some of my favourites from the fall. Looking forward to their wedding in the spring.
