Kayla & Devin had such a fun backyard wedding last July! They got married in Kayla’s grandmother’s backyard, right here in Ottawa. And it was so so special, and these two deserved every last ounce of love from that day.
The sun was shining, the trees were green, and they were FINALLY getting married (after having to postpone their 2020 plans). The getting ready was light hearted and stress free. Then they were all headed to a local greenspace to take the majority of the wedding party and couples photos before the wedding. Spending time with their guests was a big priority for Kayla & Devin, so they wanted to free up as much time as they could after the ceremony so they could mingle and enjoy the cocktail hour. I remember hearing Kayla say (more than once) that she couldn’t believe this was real, that the day was finally here! And I just loved that she was trying to soak it up as much as she could.
After the photos were done we were off to Kayla’s grandmother’s house in Ottawa for the backyard wedding of their dreams!!
The ceremony was beautiful and funny and emotional. Kayla & Devin were blessed to have three of their grandmother’s at their wedding and oof grandparents at wedding really tug at my heartstrings. And let me tell you, these three grandmothers were stylish and sweet and just having a time! Made my heart want to explode.
The rest of the day was just SO easy and fun and full of love. So much mingling and hugging and laughing. They really planned such a fantastic day. Can we go back and do it all over again lol?!!
