Mike & Linda had a small luncheon wedding at The Ivy Lea Club in the 1000 Islands, back in the fall of 2018. It was my first luncheon wedding at the time and it was so sweet. I absolutely love the idea.
Family and friends gathered in the ceremony space, with the most gorgeous light spilling in from the windows overlooking the St. Lawrence. Mike and Linda exchanged vows in a very heartfelt ceremony, with each of their parents standing next to them as witness. It was so beautiful.
After the ceremony, guests mingled and enjoyed a cocktail before sitting down for an incredible lunch at The Ivy.
I knew that after the luncheon and as things were wrapping up, Mike & Linda were going to make a very stylish exit on an antique boat ride. What I didn’t know was that their friends and family were planning to surprise them by lining the pathway down to the river and blowing bubbles as they walked past. It was the sweetest surprise and was one of my favourite parts of the whole day. So thoughtful and sweet!
As Mike and Linda made their way on to the boat, their guests waited along the dock to wave goodbye. It was honestly the best way to wrap everything up. Everyone walked away with the happiest heart!
What a fun day! A darling little luncheon wedding on a gorgeous fall day at The Ivy Lea Club. All the same beautiful moments, without being out until midnight (lol).
Venue: The Ivy Lea Club
