Lago Bar and Grill Wedding
Brian and Candice had a beautiful Lago Bar and Grill wedding on one of the nicest days in June. (Who am I kidding, it was one of the few nice days all summer.) It has been a record breaking rainy season thus far, so it’s fair to say we were all relieved when there was nothing but blue skies and sunshine in the forecast.
Arriving at the bridal prep I was amazed to walk in and find Candice and the girls hanging out on the couch and chatting. It was so calm and relaxed. There was no frantic rush, no chaos; everything was calm. Totally my jam! I luck out with my couples, I really do.
This day was filled with all kinds of sentimental moments and special details. As a matter of fact, it was Candice’s late father’s birthday, and Brian carried her father’s pocket watch with him all day. Truly touching. I love when a couple incorporates personalized and meaningful details throughout their wedding.
Their ceremony took place on the balcony overlooking Dow’s Lake. With the sun shining, guests smiling, and bubbles flying. Their happiness was so obvious; they were beaming.
After the ceremony we took a quick walk over to the Arboretum for photos with the wedding party, before heading back to the reception. It was a truly special evening with heartfelt speeches, story-telling, and so much laughter. There were happy tears, hugs, and a ton of dancing. These two (who, did I mention, met in elementary school!!!) deserved a beautiful day, and it was seriously wonderful!
