Jordan and Chelsea got married in Low, Quebec and their wedding was everything that makes my heart happy!
When I arrived at the groom prep, everyone was relaxed and calm. Jordan and his groomsmen were ironing clothes, polishing shoes, chatting and taking it easy. The relaxed vibes carried over to the bridal prep, well throughout the entire day, really. But it was wonderful to see that the wedding party was spending the morning relaxing and hanging out.
Once everyone was ready, Jordan and Chelsea had their first look. First looks always get me. They are so intimate and it’s nice to be able to spend some time together one-on-one before the guests arrive and the craziness of the day takes over.
The ceremony took place in the church that Chelsea’s grandfather helped to build. Her grandparents were married there, her parents were married there, and she was getting married there. Feels. I’m a sucker for sentimental things, and this one got me.
The church also happens to be right next door to family property. So after the ceremony, guests walked along a little pathway behind the church and into a beautiful backyard for a little outdoor cocktail party. The sun was shining, the beer was cold, and the laughs were real. There were comfy chairs, an area to hit golf balls, giant jenga, a few outdoor swings, it was all magical! I love when a couple really makes the day their own. Jordan and Chelsea knew what was important to them and what they wanted, and they ran with it. It’s okay to go against ‘tradition’ and do it your own way. You won’t regret it.
The whole day was amazing, but my absolute favourite part was the sunset portraits. Jordan and Chelsea set aside time to sneak away during dinner for some photos of just the two of them at sunset. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, the light was amazing, and they had picked out a stunning field nearby. Once again, they were able to spend a few quiet moments together to take a few deep breaths and soak in the beauty of the day before heading back to the reception for speeches and dancing. I’m so glad they made their sunset photos a priority. It was totally worth it.
Thank you so much, Jordan & Chelsea. It was an absolute pleasure.
