Jordon and Sara had a Mexico destination wedding in December, and I got to go along for the ride and photograph the celebration. They got married at Dreams Puerto Aventuras, and brought together the nicest, most genuine group of people. It was such a fun experience to see them all come together.
The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining, the guests were happy, and the setting was spectacular. When Jordon & Sara told me that their reception would take place on the beach, under a canopy of string lights I could hardly contain my excitement. Like what a dream?! It was amazing. Ah, I can still feel the happiness of that day.
There were so many beautiful and heartfelt moments throughout the day. From Sara’s emotional first look with her father, to a mariachi band entertaining the guests during cocktail hour, there was no shortage of unique and special moments. Perhaps my favourite, was how they included their grandparents (who were unable to travel for the wedding). Sara and Jordan had the wedding coordinator from the resort live-stream the ceremony so their grandparents could watch from home. Not only that, but their emcees surprised them by having both sets of grandparents write letters for Sara & Jordon, and they read them at the end of the speeches. It would be an understatement to say that there wasn’t a dry eye on the beach. It made my heart want to explode. Just the sweetest, most genuine and caring group of people, and I am so fortunate to have witnessed it all come together.
This Mexico destination wedding was my first, and I cannot wait for the opportunity to shoot another destination wedding. It was the best experience, and I still cannot believe it was real.
Thank you, Jordon & Sara!
