Dan & Rebecca’s fall engagement session in Ottawa was sooo gorgeous. I wasn’t sure if the fall colours would still be around, but mother nature delivered!
We started at a beautiful tree-lined pathway in Osgoode where they often walk their dog, Riggins. We laughed as Riggins ran around like the goofy pup that he is. He wanted to be around and close to the action – but on his own terms. So we went with it, and I love the photos with Riggins!!
After some shots on the pathway, they dropped their pup off at home and had a quick wardrobe change. Then we were off to Rebecca’s grandparents farm in Manotick to end the session at sunset. The family farm is absolutely stunning. (I actually did family photos for Rebecca’s family a few years ago at the farm.) And I was so happy that the colours of the leaves were still vibrant.
A fall engagement session can be unpredictable in Ottawa – one windy day and all of the leaves can be gone. We had our fingers and toes crossed and luckily snuck their engagement session in before the fall colours were gone.
Again we laughed and walked around the property taking in the gorgeous light. Dan & Rebecca had packed a picnic blanket and some champagne, so we obviously had to pop some bubbly. It was a blast, and we were treated to a beautiful sunset sky.
I love that they chose locations that are significant to them. A pathway just around the corner from their house that they often walk together, and her grandparent’s farm. How special to have these memories to remind them of this season of life!
Looking so forward to celebrating with them and their families in just a few short months!! I know it’s going to be a wonderful day. Eee, time is flying!
