Costa & Emma got engaged at Petrie Island, so it was only fitting that they did their engagement session at the beach, too!
We met on a Sunday evening in July. It was nearly 40 degrees that day with the humidity. And the beach was packed. Packed. Like I was floored. Considering we’re in the midst of a pandemic, and it was 7pm on a Sunday night, I was taken aback a little. But we found this beautiful stretch of beach all to ourselves (I’ll never understand how we managed that) and had the best time.
We could feel a storm brewing. The clouds were dark, and the wind was gusting. Costa and Emma just rolled with it all. They splashed in the water, let the wind whip them around, they laughed, and it was SO much fun. The perfect way to spend the evening.
These two are pushing forward with their original wedding plans for September. Making adjustments to their venue, guest lists, and day-of plans. They just want to get married, so they’ll do what they need to do to make that happen. I love that. Their original plans for a church wedding and big reception have been traded in for a smaller celebration at a vineyard. Not a bad backup plan, I must say ahah. Looking so forward to it.
This was my first time ever at Petrie Island, and it made for a beautiful engagement session location. Great idea, you two! Can’t wait to photograph your wedding next month!
