When Cody & Melanie suggested a Princess Louise Falls engagement session, I was allll over it! I had never been, despite the fact that I had seen photos there before, and it was on my list of places to go.
It was a h-o-t day in July when their engagement session rolled around. Remember that heat wave we had? Yeah, their engagement session fell smack dab in the middle of it. It was actually nice that they chose Princess Louise Falls because it’s in a bit of a dense area so we were in the shade. Plus, there was the tiniest hint of a cool breeze coming off the water (I mean “cool breeze” is definitely an exaggeration. But it was better to be near the waterfall than it was out in the middle of an open field in the blazing sun ahah).
Somehow Melanie managed to navigate the uneven grounds in a pair of heels (respect, girl). We laughed, walked around, crossed over the waterfall, and they even kicked off their shoes and rolled up their pants to stand next to the waterfall. It was so fun. We had a wonderful time and I am so happy I finally got to see Princess Louise Falls in all her glory.
Looking so forward to their wedding this Fall. If their Princess Louise Falls engagement was any clue at how fun their wedding will be, I know it will be a day full of laughs!
**Update: I wrote this blog post before Cody & Melanie’s October wedding. But am only just getting around to publishing it now (eee). Can confirm: their wedding was absolutely stunning and the most fun!!! Love these two and their people!! xo
