Alicia & Marc had a gorgeous Royal Ottawa Golf Club wedding in September of last year. And what a day it was!! They each got ready with their wedding parties on-site and right from the get-go it felt fun and relaxed and playful! Marc is a pro at the course so they know the place (and the people) well, so it had a comfy homey feel to it!!
They had a first look before wandering a bit on the grounds for some photos before the ceremony. (Can we please take a moment to admire Alicia’s dress. Oh em geeeee I am obsessed with it.) Lots of laughing and fun with the wedding party before getting ready for the ceremony to begin!
The ceremony took place out front of the clubhouse and the building is absolutely stunning!! And the gardens and planters in the space were seriously breathtaking. Not to mention the arbor and the florals specifically for the wedding! It was my first wedding at the Royal Ottawa and I was blown away at how beautiful the space was.
Guests mingled and chatted and greeted one another before settling in for the ceremony. Alicia walked down the aisle with both of her parents which was a very sweet moment. And her brother flew the rings in with a drown which had everyone laughing and clapping, too. It was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony – I can still remember one of the readings they had chosen – complete with a ring warming ceremony, too!
After the ceremony and the family photos were finished we snuck in a few more photos of just the two of them and then they were off to party with their guests. And let me tell you, this dinner and reception was FUN! Beautiful speeches, guests singing throughout the dinner, and so. much. dancing. Like fun dancing. The first dances were high energy and the perfect way to kick off the dance party.
What a day!! So so special.
