There’s something about getting married during the strictest of restrictions that just, oof, hits differently. Klara & Brian’s small backyard wedding in Ottawa was so heartfelt and emotional and ah, perfect.
Because of the provincial lockdown restrictions, Klara & Brian were allowed to have a wedding ceremony with a total of ten people (including vendors) present. And they just wanted to get married! So, they pulled together an absolutely beautiful and intimate backyard ceremony at their home in Ottawa. Both sets of parents and one friend were there as guests. A stunning copper arch was set up for their ceremony and family photos were displayed. A laptop was set up so all of their friends and family that couldn’t be present, could watch the livestream.
As Brian waited in the backyard for the ceremony to start, Klara had a first look with her father in the front yard, and then down the aisle they went. There were plenty of tears (and laughs) throughout the beautiful ceremony. Stepping back to take in the scene – a wedding ceremony with just 5 guests present – was really something beautiful to see.
After the ceremony, they celebrated with a bottle of champagne, some family photos, and then some photos in the front yard and the street. They chatted and laughed with their livestream guests, and soaked in the moment. It was perfect. In every way 🖤.
