I got to photograph my dear friends’ summer Strathmere wedding and it was truly a perfect day.
Tom & Amy live in Toronto, and planned their wedding from another city, and it all came together so beautifully.
The boys got ready at Tom’s parent’s house, and the girls got ready at Strathmere. The forecast was calling for rain, and the storm clouds were ‘a plenty. But Amy looked absolutely spectacular, the setting was beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time.
It’s no secret that I always recommend sneaking away during golden hour for some sunset photos, and this wedding was no different. The weather had been all over the place that day, and it lead to a gorgeous sunset sky. So we snuck out between dinner courses and walked along the beautiful Strathmere grounds, laughing and taking in the quiet and the calm. Even the moon made an appearance. These golden hour photos are always worth sneaking away for, and are almost always my favourite from the day.
Before rocking the dance floor all night with their guests, the first dances took place out on the patio under the string lights. So so so special and it was a true joy to photograph my friends’ best day.
