I have been dying to share this sunset engagement session! Adam & Laura showed up looking ah-mazing! And Mother Nature gave us one heck of a perfect sunset. The light was insane, and I was internally freaking out the entire time. Not only did they look perfect, but they were totally up for wandering through wooded areas and dancing in open fields. Which is, without a doubt, my favourite way to spend an engagement session.
We started with their dog, Diesel. I love when couples bring their dog for some photos. So playful and fun. Anytime couples ask if they can bring their dog, my answer is always “yes”!! However, it’s important that you have someone on hand who can take the dog after we’re done photos with them. That way, it’s just the two of you and you can give each other your full and undivided attention for the rest of your session. So after we finished up photos with Diesel, he went home and we continued exploring.
Similar to many of my engagement sessions, Adam and Laura put their trust in me to pick out some scenic locations in the Barrhaven & Manotick area. And lucky for me, they were totally up for crossing over little creeks, cuddling up in wooded areas, and dancing in tall fields. (Don’t worry, we checked for ticks.) My heart wanted to explode. These two are people after my own heart, and it was my favourite engagement session of the year so far.
And that light – it’s exactly why I always schedule engagement sessions during golden hour. Okay enough of me rambling. Check out these two and their sunset engagement session.
